Fertilizer Export & Import in December


According to the China Customs, China exported 2.25 million MT of fertilizers (including all fertilizers in HS 28 and HS 31) and imported 1.13 million MT of fertilizers in the last month of year 2018.


Fertilizer Export & Import in China 2018


From January to December 2018, China exported a total of 24.94 million tons of fertilizers, decreased by 1.6 percent year-on-year; the accumulated export amount is 7.152 billion USD, up by 16.2 percent from a year earlier.

Urea


In 2018, China exported 2.44 million tons of urea, dropping by 46.3% from the earlier year, and imported 160,000 tons of urea mainly from Ukraine, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.


DAP


The export of DAP (diammonium phosphate) in 2018 is 7.47 million tons, increasing by 16.7% from 2017, and the import of DAP is 60,000 tons, all from Morocco.


Potassium Sulphate


From January to December, China exported 8,700 tons of potassium sulphate, seeing a 39.3% year-on-year decrease, and imported 70,000 tons of potassium sulphate mainly from Russia and Germany.


NPK


In the past 12 months, China exported 364,500 tons of NPK compounds, increased by 773.9% from the earlier year; and imported 1.46 million tons of NPK, increased by 32.5% from 2017.
